The Last Leaf NCERT Solutions
In this chapter there are 2 girls Johnsy and Sue, we got to know about Johnsy's illness i.e she is suffering from pneumonia and depression. Sue helps Johnsy to make her cure from her illness. Johnsy saw a Plant of Ivy Creeper and thought when the last leaf of the plant would fall she would die. Now we'll discuss NCERT Solutions of Ch-7 The Last Leaf (Moments):
Question 1: What is Johnsy’s illness? What can cure her, the medicine or the willingness to live?
Answer: Johnsy is suffering from pneumonia and depression only her willingness to live can cure her as her depression and negative mindset are restraining her to recover from her illness.
Question 2: Do you think the feeling of depression Johnsy has is common among teenagers?
Answer: Today's teenager are prone to depression. They feel depressed when they find themselves unable to achieve their goals etc. but the severe depression that Johnsy's suffering from a very rare among teenagers.
Question 3: Behrman has a dream. What is it? Does it come true?
Answer: Behrman has a dream of painting his masterpiece as he is a painter. It comes true when he makes a leaf during a stormy night and clings it firmly to the Ivy Creepers to save the life of Johnsy's but falls ill himself.
Question 4: What is Behrman’s masterpiece? What makes Sue say so?
Answer: Behrman's masterpiece is the leaf that he has made to save the life of Johnsy. After making the leaf he clings it to the Ivy Creeper. Sue says so because the masterpiece is the last leaf made by the old painter has saved the life of Johnsy.
