In this chapter we get to know about a place where Day time was regarded as night time and night time was regarded as day time, at this place everything costed about a single Duddu, Now We'll discuss NCERT Solutions For Ch-4 In The Kingdom of Fools:


Question 1: What are the two strange things the guru and his disciple find in the Kingdom of Fools?

Answer: The 2 strange things that the Guru and his Disciple finds in the Kingdom of Fools are:

  1. The day is considered as night an night is considered as day
  1. Every thing costs the same- a single Duddu
Question 2: Why does the disciple decide to stay in the Kingdom of Fools?
Is it a good idea?


Answer: The Disciple decides to stay in the Kingdom of Fools because according to him it was a kingdom in which food items were available at a  very cheap price. One could buy adequate food in just one Duddu . No, It is not a good idea.


Question 3: Name all the people who are tried in the king’s court, and give the reasons for their trial.


Answer: Many people are tried in King's court. First comes the rich merchant who is the owner of the house of which the wall is fallen. Next comes the bricklayer who built the wall many years ago. Then comes the Dancing Girl who blames the Gold Smith. Next comes the Gold Smith who blames the merchant's father. finally, the rich merchant is caught again to give punishment again in the place of his father who actually built the wall and delayed the delivery of ornaments to the dancing girl. As he told the gold smith to give his ornaments first.


Question 4: Who is the real culprit according to the king? Why does he escape punishment?


Answer: According to the king the real culprit is the merchant who has got all the property of his father after his death. As the merchant is enjoying all the property of his father so he deserves the punishment for the crime that he did when he was alive.


Question 5: What are the Guru’s words of wisdom? When does the disciple remember them?


Answer: The Guru said this to his disciple, "This is a kingdom of fools. You don't know what they will do next." The disciple remembers these words of his Guru when he is about to be executed on the stake.


Question 6: How does the guru manage to save his disciple’s life?


Answer: The Guru manages to save the life of his disciple by telling a lie to the King. He told that the stake is new so it is the stake of the God of Justice and anyone who is hanged first will become the king of this kingdom in the next birth . The person who  is to be hanged the second will become the minister in the same way.
